Ocean Clock
Ocean Clock screensaver at night, showing a moon over a dark, glowing ocean with the time 9:27pm

A living ocean,
always on your TV.

Ocean Clock turns your Apple TV into a window onto an endless, ever-changing sea — with the time quietly resting on the horizon.

For Apple TV Always tells the time No two moments alike

Just water, sky, and time.

No menus, no widgets, nothing to configure. Ocean Clock is designed to disappear into the room — until something makes you look twice.

A real, drifting ocean

Layered swell, ripples, and reflections are generated live, so the water never repeats itself — a slow, cinematic drift instead of a looped clip.

A sky that never sits still

Blue hour, deep night, moonrise, dawn, and golden morning drift into one another over minutes, with stars and moonlight to match.

Something's down there

Every so often, a huge shadow passes beneath the surface, or a glow rises from the deep. Then the ocean settles, as if nothing happened.

The time, at a glance

A clean, softly glowing time and date sit gently over the water — legible from across the room, in every light the sky can throw at it.

No interruptions

No login, no account, no notifications. Turn it on and it quietly holds the screen for as long as you leave it running.

Built for the big screen

Rendered natively at your TV's resolution and frame rate, so the water stays smooth and detailed on any size screen.

Bioluminescent glow beneath the surface of Ocean Clock's night ocean

This isn't Earth's ocean.

Ocean Clock started from a simple idea: what if your screensaver felt less like a wallpaper and more like a place? Every wave, ripple, and reflection is generated in real time by a shader running on your Apple TV — there's no looping video underneath.

Watch long enough and the sky will drift from blue hour into full night, moonrise, dawn, and back again. And every now and then, something enormous moves just beneath the surface. Nothing dramatic — just enough to make you stop scrolling your phone and actually look at the TV.

Coming to Apple TV
